Attempted Bike riding, Brunswick St & Jason's B-day (27.10.07)

As usual, after a night of drinking mixed drinks I couldn't sleep. Woke up after about 5hrs to find that my mobile phone was missing!! It turned out that Mukie had it. Guess I must had given it to him so that he could pocket it for me at 3rd Class. So I drove down to his place, picked up the phone and also said Heya to him and Ini. haha...they both looked pretty buggered still loL!

The weather forecast for today was meant to be super duper sunny, something like 29 degrees. Ginger had been wanting to give bike riding a shot for a while, so I said that I'd do it with her, as she has had no experience. So the plan was to bike ride to the Abbotsford Convent, actually checkout the farmer's market, then bath in the sun. I've always had an inkling that we might've been pushing it a bit with this idea....Abbotsford Convent wasn't exactly close...lots of hills...I mean, I might've been able to make it, JUST...if I was riding with Den...but with Ginger....hm...??? So I managed to convince Ginger to just ride on Mont Albert road to start off.

We wiped down our bikes and pumped up the tyres (thanx Den for the pump and gel cushion...I guess I finally used them loL), then took off on our bikes. No kidding....after riding only down the street, Ginger was already having trouble! I was ahead of her heading down Rochester Rd...when I looked back and saw her coming down the slope, totally un-co. and out of control! It was like a classic scene out of the Australia's Funniest Home Videos...she lost control and rode into the side of a brick fence and managed to scratch her right leg badly! She told me that she was having trouble steering her bike, so I hopped onto her bike to see what she was on about.

ROTFL....the bike wasn't even assembled properly! Ginger was riding our ancient crappy collapsible bike from Taiwan, and she failed to check that the bike was even assembled properly! The joints of the main frame was so old and rusted we couldn't fix it. So that was basically the end of our bike riding attempt. We went home, got KT cleaned up and decided to head to Brunswick St. for a bit of frolicking in the sun.

Brunswick St. was super duper as usual...very chillaxed. We both got shakes from San Churros then shopped and took photos of random street art. We also checked out the Rose St artist's market. While wondering some random street off Brunswick we came across what looked like an abandoned house with a sign on the front door. A closer look had both of us ROTFL! Classic!

After spending the whole day frolicking in the sun we went home and I napped for a couple of hours before getting up and dressing up for Kelly's Halloween party & also Jason's B-day @ LoveBox. Ginger and Lisa were dressing up as evil china doll twins...and they looked really good! I on the other hand didn't put in as much effort. I just chucked on a LBD that I picked up at the Camberwell markets for a bargain the other week, and also Ginger had some glow in the dark skeleton gloves and this hideous face mask so I wore them too.

Kelly's party was chilled and it was good to see all the I-viewers again. It's been such a long time. The joint was on top of a rug store on Peel St. We just chillaxed on the veranda and chatted with a couple of beers. It really mellowed us out big time! I let Mayuran have a bit of fun with my costume coz he was just plan boring! I liked how he added the ciggie... gave him a bit of character loL!

We left Kelly's just after 11pm coz we wanted to get into LoveBox for free. It was pretty empty when we got there and it was R&B not house (haha Mukie...you should've come coz this is your shit)! Jason was pretty trashed by the time we got there, and we bought him an absynthe shot which probably really didn't help him either haha! Lets just say I normally put up with R&B clubs coz you go with mates...and it's really all about the people that you are with. However, going with only 2 other girls really didn't help! Ginger, Lisa and I got kinda mobbed and groped by sleazy FOBy short Asian boys...it was so yewie!!! I was not impressed. We were so grossed out that we didn't even want to get free drinks out of these people loL. We stayed a little then called it quits. The only kool thing was that we all made it on to the projector! So, a fortnight ago when were were there, some in house photographer was around taking photos, and tonight some of these photos made it on to the wall. A picture of Ginger & Lisa made it and also a photo of Mukie and Me ;P

Friday night out & Musicircus (26.10.07)

After work on Friday I met up with Ginger in the city and we headed to Smith St. to checkout Co-Lab. It was a fashion T-shirt launch which displayed some of Cindy's mate's designs. We got there before the launch begun, so instead we checked out Collingwood Gallery which was literally next door. There was an art exhibition on, displaying lots of Japanese fusion art work. It was actually pretty good shutff. We enjoyed a glass of rose while browsing through the gallery. Afterwards, we grabbed dinner at SoulFood, a vegetarian place across the road. It was YUMMY!

Eventually after dinner, Ginger and I made our way to Co-Lab. and met up with Lisa, Cindy and PowPow. The launch was in a tiny room upstairs of a travel bookstore. There were some pretty funky designs..but none that really stuck out too much. After Co-Lab we trammed back into the city to checkout John Cage's Musicircuis @ FedSquare, an event of the Melbourne International Arts Festival. Basically there were lots of musicians, dancers, visual artists and poets performing at the BMW Edge simultaneoulsy. We were able to move around and explore the works by local and international artists, and sometimes even take part. It was very interesting and intriguing.

After Musicircus we headed towards Loop Bar. It was a nice little joint with good music... however the place wasn't really "happening", maybe coz it was still early with the older, work crowd still around, or it couldn've been because of uni exams...
Anyhoo, Ginger, Lisa, Cindy and I decided to get some drinks and we all ordered really nice cocktails/martinis....the only downside was that the bar tender took forever to make them :(

We didn't stay at Loop for long...people had been messaging me heaps to see where I was so that they could meet up...there was quite a bit of pressure I felt, for me to find a place that was "happening" which really sucked. Anyhoo...we ended up heading to the roof top bar to meet up with Mukie and Ini...only to be told that it was full house...bummer!! So then we went to the Kitten club to say Hi to Ben. By that time, Cindy and Lisa were pretty bored i think...and plus Cindy had been up since 4am...so they were ready to call it quits. All the walking around and finding places had taken its toll on our feet as well as our morale. So Ginger decided to abandaon me and go home earlier with Lisa and Cindy :( I must admitt that I was very very tempted to just leave too...but because I'd finally met up with Mukie and Ini...and it had been a while since I've partied with them....I decided to stay out and make the night fun, no matter where we ended up.

So....3rd Class it was, I guess 3rd is one place that I've always had a good time at ....so that's where we went. PowPow had confirm by text that 3rd usually goes off on Fridays. It was kinda worrying coz when Mukie, Ini and I turned up outside it was dead quite with no line at all. I spoke to some random dude that was just sitting out side (coz he had been kicked out for trying to sneak mates in) to make sure that there were people inside...and also to grab a guest list name off him. He reassured me that it was going off and told me to use DC's list. So I did!

Compared to the last 2 times I had been to 3rd this Friday night was empty as....but then it was only 12am. The place did eventually fill up quite a bit...but they had a different DJ ;( It wasn't exactly the kool elecktro that I was expecting. The sound was something more along the lines of your generic house, a little electro...anyhoo....in comparison to before the music was shit! But I had fun anywayz, coz i just wanted to dance like there was no tomorrow! Plus, I really like the crowd at 3rd...people are more chillaxed, less pretencious and just more easy going. I bumped in to Jeremy again...(haha...you are such a regular) and also Andy (if that's your real name loL), the dude that apparently runs the night there and works at Central Station sometimes! Also met a couple of guys when I was just chilling in the open area, there was Steve, Adam and some Americans...and a kool chick from Kew...haha...RANDOM chats are fun ;P PowPow, Josh and Ben came a bit later on and met up with us and we all danced like there was no tomorrow!

So, for how the night started...it actually turned out not as bad as it could've. Well...speaking for myself...I still had a lot of fun at 3rd ;P I shared a cab home with Ben, Mukie and Ini coz Josh only had one space left in his car...and I couldn't abandon my biomeds!! I'm just glad that Mukie and Ini survived a non-R&B night out! I'm so proud of you guys loL!!

Brunch & Photo taking with Häns (20.10.07)

Organized to have brunch with Häns today on Brunswick St. It was such a fantastic sunny day. I was originally planning to take him to Babka Bakery, however we ended up @ Idibidi so that we could sit in the sun ;)

As expected, food was fantastic, we got our coffees, and I had the Moroccan lentils & split pea soup while Häns got the Eggs Florentine. We chatted heaps about life, boys, politics, the world blah blah blah....It was immensely enjoyable! I luv hanging out with Häns coz he just knows so much about everything...it's just so interesting speaking to him...I'm always very intrigued by him! He is also now my "French tutor". I learnt about the irregular verbs like être, avoir & aller, and also the regular er verbs such as donner and parler. It was fun....I would love to be able to speak French...it's such a beautiful language when spoken well.

Anyhooo...after food and just chillaxing for a long while, we decided that we'd do a bit of walking around so we ended up frolicking the streets of Fitzroy and the city, taking photos of nice buildings. Häns told me that he was doing lino cuts of old architecture so that also inspired me to be kinda arty. We also visited this really kool arts supply shop in Fitzroy so that Häns could buy some ink for printing. I can't wait to see his finished product! How exciting!!

We ventured from Brunswick St. all the way up to St Patrick's Cathedral, then the Treasury Gardens, Parliament House before walking all the way back down Brunswick St to Joe's Garage to meet up with Ginger, Ahmen and PowPow. By the time we got to Joe's Garage I was so tired and thirsty I could've fainted. Bought myself this massive smoothie and chugged it in like a minute...Ginger was quite impressed and actually so was I loL.

It was a super duper day! Can't wait to do this more often ;)

Random Chillaxing Sunday (14.10.07)

After like 4 hours of sleep...I got up to meet Ben for breakfast...or more like brunch actually. T'was such a totally random day today!
So I decided to drive coz i couldn't be stuffed waiting for the tram, they take forever to come on a Sunday! So I thought I might as well give him a lift...only to find out that we had to go buy milk and exchange them for golf clubs??!!! RANDOM loL. So after driving around for a while we finally end up getting food on Glenferrie road. No need to say, I was still totally running off adrenalin from my fortnight of not being able to sleep, and still living in a complete over-driven state! Nonetheless...breakfast was fun, except for the fact that they took forever with our orders!

After brunch...we ventured to Ben's mate's (Charles) place via my house...as I wasn't really expecting to be going to a golf driving range...so had left my cold&flu tablets at home...and trust me, I really needed the pseudoephedrine loL. After I was all drugged up and happy again...we picked up Charles and drove to whoop whoop land and hit some golf balls. It was OK, but given that I'd had no sleep and that the driving range was not exactly the most sociable place to be, I wasn't really giving it much of a shot. I played a little...and of course I was totally un-co..(not that I cared much) loL. However, I can see how people get addicted to this though...If i was actually in the mood...I could see myself coming here with good mates or Ginger and just practising the whole day away...coz it does get pretty exciting when you actually hit the ball, and it makes a projectile motion loL! Maybe I'll go back another day....

There was a very very kool lizard wondering about the driving range, so of course i whipped out my sexy Canon Ixus and took a couple of snaps ;P

After we went through the buckets of golf balls...mostly thanx to Ben and Charles, we got ice-cream ate them while hanging out and just chatting at a park till evening before all heading home. The park was nice...i think it was my favourite part of the day! So that was my random random Sunday ;)

Abbotsford Convent & LoveBox @ Element Lounge (13.10.07)

Ginger & I decided to check out the Abbotsford Convent Bakery today and also check out some sales around the Fitzroy & Collingwood area.
Can't remember much except that it was a beautiful place...and there was a "Lentil as Anything" cafe there as well...so we are going to go back and try it out another day.
The Coffee at the convent bakery wasn't so great (but then again I'm really particular with my coffee). Food-wise...they had lots of nice lunchy type of foccacias and rolls etc and they also had lots of delicious looking desserts...the lemon tart was superb!
But in general...hm....not the biggest fan of the food because you can get way better on Brunswick st easily. However the joint had a very nice atmosphere and I would luv to go back with a picnic rug and just chillax on a sunnier day...that would be kool.

After the Convent...we ventured to Smith St. and Brunswick St Fitzroy...and basically just frolicked in the sun shopping and having fun. We also found this very sexy Valiant parked in some random street between Smith and Brunswick....so Ginger and I decided to sex it up and take photos with it. We were quick though coz we were too scared that some hunky dude was gona come out and bash us up for touching his baby loL! T'was fun, no doubt about that!

Got home late arvo around 5pm...and was so tired....I just fell asleep for a couple of hours before getting up and getting ready for LoveBox! It's been the longest time since I've been Asian night clubbing, I was kinda excited (yes...sad i know). Ginger, Paul, Ben and I cabbed in together coz it was cold. It turned out to be a really really really good night coz I bumped into friends that I hadn't hung out for years etc....I MISS YOU ALL ;)

I was also introduced to this new drink...and that would be scotch on dry...which apparently means that it's with ginger-ale...see i didn't know that before...but I think I liked the drink because of the ginger ale and not the scotch loL! So...basically danced the night away and had lotsa fun ;P oh...and yay I got Mayuran in the club for FREE...was so funny..basically just walked out got a stamp for pass out...saw that the people at the desk were really busy...and just walked Mayuran in...easy as that hahahaha............

REGURGITATOR!! (12.10.07)

Quan is so............HOT!!!
So, Ginger and I found out that Regurg. were playing @ the Corner Hotel this Friday we book ourselves in! It's been such a long time since i've been in a mosh pit (think since BDO) i was totally ready for my dose of mosh pitt action (however perferbaly minus the black toe loL)!

So Mikey & his mate Matt, picked us up around 10:30pm and we headed to the Corner Hotel. Dramas glaore...Ginger had lost her and Mikey's tickets...so she ended up having to buy more at the door...loL!!

While Ginger had Mikey to shield her from all the crazy violent moshers...i didn't and got elbowed in the spine...ouchies! So i decided to drop back a little from the front of the stage. All turned out well, coz then this really hunky, big cute blond started chatting to me and offered me his shoulders to ride on...as i was trying to take vids and pics at the same time and was obviously too short loL. So I said kool why not...and THANKS! He was even nice enough to stop moshing himself so my vids wouldn't be too shaky! Check it out ;P...hm..actually having trouble uploading the vid...so that'll have to wait.

Anywhoo...before long....there was this crazy chick on stage...looking stunned for a second...then she started dancing holding hands with Quan, jumping up and down real excited then she slapped Quan's cute little ass before stage diving off! YEP...IT WAS GINGER! I was shocked and ROTFL...it was so kool..i'm so so proud of her xox!

So I kinda got caught up in all the excitement and hopped off the hunky blond, back into the mosh pit to look for Ginger...now I'm like...hmm....maybe should've gotten his name again and thanked him properly, but oh well...was an awesome awesome night!

GOD'S KITCHEN (6.10.07)

haha...after a whole working week of not sleeping...what a better way to party on even more by going to GOD'S KITCHEN!....

It was the BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE EVER!... had so so so much fun.
Actually managed to fall asleep a couple of hours before the event. Ginger got me up at around 10pm and I was actually so so so tired that I was so on the verge of just not going! THANK GOD that I went....coz otherwise i would've regretted it big time!

Ahmen was super duper and gave us a lift in, as it was freezing cold and we were all only wearing Ts and shorts....with our extra comfy shoes (I luv my Onisuka Tigers), ready to rip the GK dance floor up. We got to Rod Laver Arena around 11pmish and I also realized that my mobile phone fell out of my short pockets after we got in...which really sucked...coz i felt so venerable with out it. It would've been impossible to find anyone with out a phone in that crowd. IT WAS JUST MASSIVE! So we made sure we stuck together the whole time.

We also met up with SJ there and after taking our pink hearts...we just went for it to the dance floor. Through out the night we met up with lots of Ginger's mates..and I also caught up with Shannon which was super duper. There was a lot of luv and happiness....it was great! And one of the best things was that the crowd was awesome...there wasn't much of the club sleaziness at all...everyone was just super duper friendly and psyched, throwing compliments to each other!

The highlight of the night for me was being saved by a random guy (haha..BEN!) who saw some yucky horny British guy trying to chat me up...and me obviously throwing one liners back at him while trying to dance and not even making eye contact. Then later on I found out that he was kinda there with some guys Ginger knew so..we ended up ripping up GK together...then Shell Petrol station..then the after party at QBH. It's such a small world...it turns out that he knows all these people that I also know loL, don't you just luv it when that just keeps happening.

In terms of music, GENERATION NEXT had the best music and I was having the time of my life in that tent! We checked out some of the other tents briefly..but we mostly were in GENERATION NEXT or the main arena.

So Basically...YAY! I'm no longer a rave virgin...and I'M SO FREAKING GLAD I WENT!
We got home Sunday morning around 11am...Ginger and I were KOed straight till 7:30pmish. So no need to say...my body clock continued to be completely stuffed up...and with all the lack of sleep I GOT SICK!

Random week of no sleep 1.10 - 5.10.07)

Man...went through one of thoes weird weeks were I just became an insomic. Couldn't sleep coz I went out too much during the night and then just ended up living off adrenaline in a total over-driven state of mind. No matter how out of it I am...I just can't seem to SLEEP! Pretty tripy actually. Chillaxed heaps with PowPow playing guitar and watching dvds, was awesome fun! We also hit up POGO on Thursday night for more crazy ass elecktro dancing. Good times ;)

Happy 8th B-day BEANIE (30.09.07)

Wow...this was my first ever Doggy Birthday Party...and it was so so CUTE!
Lotsa dogs in the house...and BBQ food. Unfortunately it started raining after a while...but luckily Ginger & I had a physio session to duck out to...so we missed the storm. However, also not so lucky coz pretty much all the food was gone by the time we got back (oh...the corn)!!
